WHY ANTIVIRUS UPDATE?

We @ GBIZENT want to emphasize the need for every online resources user to keep his or her installed anti-virus updated regularly. This can be done by connecting to the net and proceeding to do automatic update from the antivirus interface. Some vendors provide compressed update that can be downloaded and hence such file can be used to update the antivirus software manually. Two major vendors that we have tested esp. the ones that provide regular manual updates are AVIRA and MICROWORLD ESCAN.

Doing regular updates keep virus signatures database up to date. This makes the security of the pc tight and improves the overall efficiency of the anti-virus software.

We also recommend that a complete scanning of the pc be done at least once in a week. This is due to the fact that malwares i.e spywares, can sneak through the winsock layer at times while the user is surfing the net with his/her pc. The scan operation will hence show the user the status of the pc and if its infected in anyway and the necessary action taken.
